特集：帝国海軍駆逐艦とソロモンの戦い 鼠輸送作戦とルンガ沖夜戦 Tokyo Express

The struggle for Guadalcanal was fierce and relentless. With air superiority lost to the U.S. forces, conventional supply by transport ships became impossible for the Japanese. In response, they launched high-speed supply runs using destroyers—the so-called Tokyo Express. In Vessel Model Special No.54, we explore these destroyer transport operations, focusing especially on the Battle of Tassafaronga (November 30, 1942). The issue presents numerous destroyers in both 1/700 and 1/350 scale, modeled in a variety of styles, along with rich historical accounts and detailed profiles of each vessel.
