本書は、「できるだけクルマに関わる部品を題材にモデリングの基本を身につけたい」という方に向けて構成されています。
カーモデルのパーツを例に、実際の制作に直結するコマンドや手法を厳選し、初心者でも取り組みやすい形で解説します。
序盤では基本操作を学び、その後はランチア・ストラトスをモチーフに、ラフ設計からパーツ完成までの一連の工程を段階的に解説。実際の制作プロセスを追いながら、データ設計から出力までの流れを具体的に理解することができます。
本書で解説するカーモデリングは複雑な形状を扱うため、応用することでスケールモデル、デフォルメモデルを問わず、航空機や艦船などの機械モデルにも幅広く展開可能です。

After learning the basic operations in the early chapters, the book guides you through the process of creating a model inspired by the Lancia Stratos, explaining each step from rough sketches to the stage shown in image ① on these pages. Car modeling can be quite complex, but that complexity is also its strength.
